Frequently asked questions

Visiting

Do I need a reservation?

No. About half of our tables are kept for walk-ins. Booking is worth it for weekend mornings between 9:00 and 13:00, for groups of four or more, and for the terrace from October to April.

Visiting

How long do you hold a booked table?

Fifteen minutes. If you are running late, send us a WhatsApp message and we will do our best to keep it.

Visiting

Where do I park?

Complimentary valet runs at our entrance on the Boulevard from 07:00 until close. Paid street parking runs along the Boulevard, and the Burj Khalifa/Dubai Mall Metro station is a 12-minute walk.

Visiting

Can I work from a laptop?

Yes, at the long communal table and the bar on weekdays. Weekend tables from 9:00 to 14:00 are kept laptop-free so families and friends can sit together. The Wi-Fi password is on your receipt.

Visiting

Are children and dogs welcome?

Children, always: we have high chairs and a small babyccino. Well-behaved dogs are welcome on the terrace, with water bowls by the door.

Visiting

Is the café accessible?

Yes. The entrance is step-free from the Boulevard, there is an accessible restroom, and the terrace is level with the street.

Food & drink

Do you cater for dietary needs?

Every item on the menu is marked vegan, vegetarian or gluten-free where it applies. Oat, almond and pistachio milk are available at no extra charge. Our bakery handles nuts, sesame and wheat, so please tell us about any allergy when you order.

Food & drink

Can I buy your coffee beans?

Yes. Every coffee on the bar is sold in 250 g bags from AED 75, roasted that week in our Al Quoz roastery. We will grind it for your brewer if you ask.

Food & drink

What is Qahwa Arabiya?

Traditional Arabic coffee: a light roast simmered with cardamom and a little saffron, poured into small cups and served with dates. We use Yemeni Haraz beans and pour it from a brass dallah.

Events & groups

Can we book the café for a private event?

The majlis room seats up to 24 and the whole café takes 70 standing. We host birthdays, team breakfasts, product launches and Ramadan gatherings. Send us the details from the Events page and we reply within one working day.

Events & groups

What are your Ramadan hours?

During Ramadan we open at 19:00 for iftar coffee and stay open until 02:00 for suhoor, with a short suhoor menu. Takeaway is available from 10:00.

Payments

How can I pay?

Card, Apple Pay and Google Pay. We are cashless at the bar, but the valet team accepts cash tips.
